WordPress is a powerful tool that helps you create and manage content online. It is probably one of the fastest, simplest ways to create a reliable website or blog without needing a lot of programming knowledge . This course’s aim is to introduce WordPress to the students and give them the fundamentals they need to start building and maintaining their own projects.

What is WordPress and why do we need it
Getting Started with WordPress
Pages, Posts and post types
WordPress Themes Market
WordPress theme hierarchy
Starting our first WordPress theme from scratch
Create navigation menus
Single page and archive pages
Custom post types
Custom Fields “Meta Boxes”
Dealing with plugins

There will be a final project at the end of the course to make sure students are comfortable working with what has been taught and ready to make their own creations!

Prerequisites :
Basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP.

Instructor biography:
Peter is a UI, Front-End and Hybrid mobile applications developer. He graduated from the Faculty of Science in 2012 and went on to complete ITI (Information Technology Institute) diploma in Web Interface Development in 2014. Peter previously worked at Creiden as a Front-End and Hybrid Mobile Applications Developer, as well as a freelance web developer. He is currently a senior front-end web developer as System-Online and has been an External Instructor at ITI since December 2014.
